Burnout is more than tiredness
Burnout often begins with prolonged effort and very little recovery. You may still be meeting deadlines while feeling emotionally flat, detached, or unusually impatient.
It can also show up physically through headaches, poor sleep, low motivation, forgetfulness, or constant dread before everyday responsibilities.
What pushes it forward
People are more likely to slide into burnout when boundaries are weak, support is low, and rest feels undeserved. High responsibility without emotional recovery is a common pattern.
Many people wait for a dramatic collapse before they change anything. Usually the real work is noticing the smaller warning signs earlier.
Resetting your week
Look at your week and remove one unnecessary pressure point. Protect your sleep. Reduce one avoidable commitment. Build one small recovery habit that happens daily, even if only for ten minutes.
